Legal Metrology Verification System
The Problem
The existing manual process for verifying and certifying weighing instruments across Dubai was slow, error-prone, and unable to scale to the growing number of regulated businesses. Inspectors used paper-based forms, data was manually entered into disconnected systems, and certificate issuance took up to 2 weeks.
Our Solution
We designed and built a fully integrated digital platform covering the entire lifecycle — online applications, inspector assignment, mobile field verification, automated calculations, digital certificate generation, and a public verification portal.
Implementation
Built on .NET Core with SQL Server as the primary data store using stored procedures for complex business logic. A Flutter-based mobile app was developed for field inspectors with offline capability. The backend exposes REST APIs consumed by the web portal (Next.js) and mobile app.
